Thats what I thought, but I just changed mine and it didnt help it

mine does that too. It seems to be normal. You gotta think the computer can only adjust itself so well to start/stop repeatedly, and there is some small margin of error...

so you gotta crank an extra 2 seconds? as long as it fires up and stays running you are good

hmmm, i dont know then. my mustang is having other problems now. My IAC valve is acting up or something. I have to clean it sometime.

Thats basically what I was looking for I didnt know if it was normal or not just freaked me out. I have only had my car about 3 weeks and it was just worring me.

give it some time these cars have plenty of quirks. A LOT of cars I have driven act like that, occasionally taking an extra second or two to start. The computer can only do so much tweaking in a few miliseconds

I have heard of this with larger pump and injectors. The charge pressure is too high at startup with them, maybe the same with you. IDK

Mine was hard starting for close to 6 months, especially if I let it sit for more than 3 days.. Eventually, the fuel pump crapped out, and I believe it's mostly because of debris in the gas tank (unrelated)...


As mentioned, I wouldn't really worry TOO much about it yet... You may wanna drop a fuel pressure gauge on there to see what kind of pressure you're getting when you crank it...
