no you dont need new ones every time you change the brake pads. and you dont need to have the rotors trued everytime either.

I have the FRPP cross drilled/slotted rotors and i like them, no problems yet and i've had them on for around 5 months

Drilled is supposed to release the gases and dust from hard braking, which helps cool them down. The only real downside I have heard about drilled rotors, is they almost act like a cheese grader, they improve braking, but they eat pads fairly quickly.

also, v6's and v8's can use the same rotors, correct? ive seen listing where they say 94-2004 v6 and v8 gt, so im assuming they are all the same. they try to charge more too...

drilled is as described previously, slotted help the dirt/water to get pushed somewhere else other than under the pad surface along with the drilled. Slotted (the fins) are for cooling.
