cai problem
Has anyone ever had stumbling problems from their cold air intake? The dealership is saying that the car is sucking in twice as much air as it should which is causing the MAF to foul. I've got an Roush intake from the throttle body out.

RE: cai problem
Never had a problem with any of my cars with an aftermarket CAI. I call BS on what the dealer told you.
Put the stock one on and go from there.
Its an aftermarket part so naturally they will blame the problem on that.

they said they hooked it up to a sensor that messures air flow and figured it out. I think it's BS too and that it's not getting enough fuel like everyone else who has looked at my car thinks.

RE: cai problem
Ask the dealer how you can flow twice as much air as you are supposed to be flowing on a naturally aspirated car with the factory throttle body and intake.
As for the stumbling problems, make sure you indexed the mass meter the same as factory and the air temp sensor is sealing well in the rubber gromet and you have no intake leaks. If all that checks out o.k., like sprostang said, go back to the stock intake and see if the problem still exists.

Running 10 lbs. of boost isn't even twice as much air so the dealer is full of poop. As stated, make sure the MAF is indexed correctly. Are you sure the set up isn't from a S/C car because the MAF would be calibrated for that and the PCM may not be able to compensate for it, good luck.
