I need help.....I wanted to install a Transgo Shift Kit on my 00 Gt..Will it make me spin tires 1st, 2nd, and 3rd? or do i need to install a torque converter? Also Im new at this forums....I own a 2000 Gt Convertible Black

 

Ive never used one of these so called shift kits, but I highly doubt you will spin through 3rd with just a shift kit, now combine the shift kit with maybe some 4.10s or 4.30s and a good stall converter; now you are more than likely to spin through 3rd.

 

My 03 gt has a shift kit(was there when I got It)if I romp it chirps 1st to 3rd.Mind you i don't know If the previous owner changed the converter as well.But It shifts very very tight.

 

get 4.10's....and a dyno tune that puts the trans pressure at 100%....and ull be sqealin in 2nd everytiem u floor it
