Default A few ?'s, performance and problems...

2000 GT Manual Tranny.

Performance
Lowering springs and C/C plates.
What do you think is the best set-up for about a 1 1/2" drop? I know nothing about the C/C plates, so can someone help me out with them.

I need a lowering kit that will level the car out. I am tired of looking at the front-end higher...

Exhaust
There was a guy in my apts. that had a stang with the pipes 3" and they had Magnaflow on them, and weren't cut at and angle like the stock GT pipes, anyone know of this set-up, it is pretty popular. I have seen about 4 stangs with them.

I was thinking of going with the O/R X or H pipe. Which is better H or X? The cat-back woul be 3" with the Magnaflow or something similar. I like the loud "raw" sound. I also like how the exhaust pops. What makes it do that? No cat?

Camshaft/s?
I know about motors, but chevy ones. This is my first Ford, and is the 4.6 a SOHC? This would mean I need 2 cams? This car will be driven only on weekends. No long distant trips.

I am looking for something, like most other people with stangs looking for a cam, a cam with a rough idle. I don't plan to boost this vehicle. What is the max lift/duration that a daily driver could handle with no new heads, or anything major. My vehicle is a manual, so does this mean I do not need a stall converter? By the way, I know nothing about trannies.

Gears
I was wondering if the gear size would have anything to do with which cam I would get, vice-versa? I am thinking about 4.10's

"Problems"
Evap.
I went to get the car inspected, and was told the light was on due to a Evap code? What is this, and how is it fixed?

Weird one...
When I start the car up, let the car go to a high RPM in a gear, or sometimes rev it, I hear a clicking/knocking noise that comes from under the hood, or around the tranny. Only does it for a second. And today when I down shifted to pass someone I felt a clunk underneath the car. Tranny mounts? First time it has done that.

Another thing with the transmission, when i try to start off in a higher gear mabe 3rd, or go from first to 3 or 4th I hear a weird noise coming from the tranny. Is this normal for that situation?

I appreciate your help.

I don't rev it that high. Maybe 3K or less. When driving the noise starts at 2k.

H&R springs i got off mustang tuning.com i think they were 249.99 ......my Steeda CC plates were 249.99 off the same site....but steeda are top of the line, you can get cheaper but i just paid for the name[&:].....if you order off mustangtuning use the code "Mustangboards" to get a 6% discount.....saved me like 25 bucks or something
