ok i just bought an BBK o/r x pipe and i haven't installed it in yet. i ordered these "o2 simulators" on ebay and they finally came in. since we're on the topic i'd like to know how to PREVENT that CEL to come on and make my car run like crap!
do these o2 simulators really work? or would i have to get a tuner? thanks guys

Ok so i am not the only one with a CEL problem well heres mine... I just bought my car last week the CEL wasnt on every thing was awsome ( i am loving it) but when i left the Dealership i told them i wanted a full tank of Gas so they filled it up and i drove it home anyways after about 150klms my CEL came on wich made the car run like crap and seems to run alot Richer for some reason anyways i think the dealer ship put 87octane in when the Origanl owner put it Premium like 93 i think would this cause this problem
Car has O/R x pipe with the eliminators and flowmasters
any info would be fantastic??

Very First thing you should do.... go to autozone or some parts store that has a scanner and have them read the code for why you CEL is on,,, post it here so we can see what code its spitting out,, then we can start.. without knowing what code is on, its kinda hard to tell whats happening with your engine? CEL could be on for any number of conditions...
