That depends on the driver. I'd say the better driver would win here since the cat-back's few hp increase wont give you the edge that much.

Put one of those big wings on the back of your car. Those are guaranteed to give you like 50 hp...

You will not see any loss of torque.

You will see very minimal gains, maybe 2-3 WHP at best.

BTW, "backpressure" is bull****. You do not gain TQ by having more backpressure.

Whether or not you lose low rpm power from reducing backpressure is entirely dependant upon the engine and how it's tuned and built. Installing dual 3" pipes on a 3.0L engine will kill any low end torque that engine may have had (a single 3" on my old 2.5L V-6 was enough to make a very noticable change in throttle response for the worse, especially at lower rpms).

How much pipe you need depends on how much air your engine is putting out. If your engine expels 500 cfm, there's no reason to run a system that flows 1000 cfm...

The only reason a larger exhaust would cost power is if you go up to a size so large that the speed of the exhaust slows down, or you kill your scavaging effect from your midpipe.

This isn't gonna happen on any of the aftermarket catback systems for a 2v car.

What was the point of that comment.
You already had flows so you will prob see 0 gains. H-pipe, CAI, TB, MAS and chip and you will probably see some nice gains. Keep us posted.
