E-Brake light comes on...

Default E-Brake light comes on...

Today coming into work I noticed that my E-Brake light would come on whenever I got on the brakes. It would stay on until I would get back into the throttle and it would go away. But it would keep doing that same pattern each time. I made sure the E-Brake handle was completely down and not engaging it but I don't know what might be wrong....any suggestions??

Your brake fluid is low. Check your resevoir (SP).

Yep......97mustanggt is right.......It happened to me a while back......I just topped off my brake fluid and that took care of it........

if its not that, your ebrake position sensor might be loose. mine came off on me before, so the light was constantly on. its an easy fix if that it, just take out the center console and make sure its attached good and tight. its white with a peg on a spring that goes in/out depending on the angle of the ebrake lever.

check the fluid. This could be a good indication you need brake pads!

the needing of pads is caused by the caliper piston having to go farter, so fluid comes from the reservoir to fill it up.

i'd reccomend having the brakes flushed when you do the brakes as well
