But when using wheel spacers, remember that you will have to Replace the original Studs with longer studs

Wheel spacers = bad idea Wheel spacers are not good for everyday use. They warp, crack, causing vibration and possibly the wheel to fall off.

I have sold many sets to people at my last job, all but one person came back complaining about them. Everyone is told the same speal. They will break, they will cause vibration. It is safer and better in the long run to get teh proper wheels.

I went out the other week and got some cast 1/4 inch spacers for my rear tires just to push them out a little bit. Is that to much for the studs? I really dont want to harm my car, so please let me know if I have anything to worry about. Can the tires really fall off if the crack? is there any way to tell if they are about to give?

Yes it really happens, sometimes you can tell. You will start to get a lot of vibration from thei tires when they are starting to go.

They flat out are not a good idea for a street car.

Rule of thumb for lugs, you want to engage the thread the same depth as the thread size. I.E. 1/2 inch thread = 1/2 in engagement. I have seen people with only maybe 2 full turns on there rims[] talk about scary!

Wow I did not know that. I have 1/4 inch spacers on mine that the guy before me put on. Do you guys think I should take these off?

My opinion is that spacers is for ghetto rides anyhow! I would invest in some wider rims like 17X9 or even a little bigger. The wider tires look better than the smaller ones sticking out. But thats only my opinion.
