I have a 98 GT and the door locking or openin device is jammed. I press the unlock button the little stick goes up a little then goes right back down. I hold the stick up and the door still acts like its locked then the stick shoots right back down. The inside door lever you cannot pull like its stuck. Please help, I had to dukes of hazzard it all night tonight and it starting to **** me off. I am in garage right now workin on it and I will be all night till it gets done, and help would be great.

Yeah I thought that would work to but it didnt.

 

I kinda just pulled on the inside lever hard and pulled on the door and it came open and kinda got it unstuck but there is still something banging around in there when I lock and unlock the door. A clanging.

 

take off the door panel and have yourself a peak inside =)

 

Started to, but then I realized how much of a bitch it was to do that. Any tips on how to remove the door panel with less hassel.

 

well there is a tab on the front of the panel, and then you take out the switch panel and there are a few screws back there... take those out, then pull the panel straight up and it will pop and out it comes... the toughest part is putting it back on and lining up the lock through the hole

ya i think my solenoid is goin or whatever in my passenger door....i press unlock and it unlocks...then i lock it...then i press unlock again and it doesnt go up...but after a lil while itll go up, then down, then not again for awhile
