Default stroker kit?

hey you all, my question is, what exactly is a stroker kit and what does it do? i ahve a 4.6l dohc 2004 mach 1. whill it give me more power? will it just strengthen it? or will ti do both? if it does give more power how much more power? like give me the different hp gains for different stroker kits. oke veryone thanks for the help

A stroker kit will give you an outragously more amount of power than stock. You bore out, larger pistons, better crank and a lot of other stuff. Go forged! Where do you live. If in Texas I can recommend a good place but if not you just have to search around and ask for the best people.

you cant stroke a 4.6 very much at all, not worth the $$ unless your a super freak with Oprah's $$ IMO

not trying to argue but mdvaldosta's right, you can do it but unless you can do a lot yourself it's gonna cost you some serious coin. P&P heads, and all the other bolt ons, add a supercharger or turbo... then if that just won't do it go with a stroker kit and get some quality internals and hook up that F/I and holy ****, I'd say 9's easy with a set of DR's and a suspension maybe high 8's but that engine might not last long but it'll be fun.

i am not trying to argue either, and i know its not cheap... i will say its definitly worth the money though.
