What year is your car??? It should be up a little farther towards the front?? But that is the oil pan... 99% sure. Im the only one who changes the oil in my car.. I dont let the local shops do it.. Get a socket and a ratchet.. dont use that monkey wrench.. If you strip that youre screwed.. Be sure that when you put the oil filter back on you rub a some of the new oil on top of the seal to keep it from bunching up when you tighten it back up.. another picture would probably help though...

for the love of GOd you guys can't you see?? the trans is directly to the right of the oil pan in that picture. You have your wrench on the oil drain plug. But I wouldn't suggest using that kind of wrench. Just grab a closed end wrench (can't recall what size) it's a 17mm or so, and then if it's stubborn hook another closed end wrench to the opposite end of that one and you can get it right out. That is in deed your oil pan drain plug.

By that picture, you have a convertible I believe

thats it, use a socket wrench its a lot easier. back it out slowly too unless you want oil all over the place. dont forget to do the filter.
