If i plan on s/c my car next summer, would the spending of $179 to get the udp's be worth it untill i s/c my car? because i know they will have to come off when i put it on, so i was wondering if it was worth the money for a time it is in there?

Nope. The "freed" horsepower that you supposively get from udp's won't make up for the fact that you'll end up taking them off anyway-save the money...
