their was some done...a few guys on another forum measured the IAT temps with a metal and plastic intake tubes and the metal while sitting still ie: traffic or red lights etc really got hot but once moving would normal out. The plastic was a few degrees cooler across the board and much cooler in traffic. If your basically stock and NA then that heat won't really hurt you but if you have a Roots/Twin screw blower then heat is your enemy. They are hurt by even slight heat rises. Thats why Kenne Bell recommends plastic only in conjuction with his blowers.

Mine is the best intake to buy go here:

https://mustangforums.com/m_1673150/tm.htm
Looks like the rest of the garbage metal intakes on ebay!
Really only 3 to choose from...JLT/Tunable Induction/K&N FIPK...notice the trend, all plastic!

I went with the Tunable Induction CAI www.demolet.com because it clears the STB and works well with my eaton Supercharger and 90mm LMAF...i would be just as happy with the other 2
Wow, that's a really nice comment for one of your new vendors.

nothing personal...just being honest...looks like import garbage adapted to our cars instead of a piece made specifically for a mustang.

it's not..it's a perfect fit, Simota just released this intake for the 4.6L mustang, it's on their website....I replaced one of the cheap ebay ones with this one. it looks similar, but the pipes are a better quality, with a nice lip on the end...better job on the polished finish too, and they provide you with better clamps. Simota Filters out flow K & N also...
