Why do so many people buy 4.6 2V Mustangs and them bitch endlessly about the power? If you wanted more, you should have bought something else.

Because the 99-04 gts are so cheap!

its annoying because when i look at fox setups, i can see getting way more hp without forced induction... to add i cant find any good performance SOHC heads for my car, and cams seem to be harder to find aswell.

i want to keep the car i have, because i love the thing, but it seems to be the worst outta the bunch of v8's to fix up, if i want alot of power.
Sure, the foxes have better aftermarket support, but we're catching up. Hopefully, some smart guy will figure out a better head design and we'll see that. However, Ford did a good job with the PI heads, so don't look for true aftermarket heads anytime soon. Patriot and VTengines have reworked OEM heads that flow very well, but not like a 3 or 4 valve, for obvious reasons.

I still think with full bolt ons, heads and cams, you can see 300 n/a. You may have to go with a P51 intake to do it, though.
Rofl are you serious?

The number ONE problem with the 2v 4.6L is the heads. The 2v heads SUCK.

Nothing like having a set of fully ported PI heads still only flowing a little over 200 CFM when a stock LS1 head flows dammed near 300.

5.7 ls1 is bigger than the 4.6 so do the math
