Hi guys! Ok, i have decided to go ahead and buy a kenne bell supercharger for my 2002 gt. How is this gonna change my car? I mean what can i expect from this?? Also i am gonna have to seriously budget to afford this upgrade. How many of you had to save your pennies and put them away and were you satisfied after you got your supercharger put on. Was the wait worth it?? thanks!

 

It will add a permanent smile to your face! What kit are you getting..basic 6psi non intercooled or 9psi intercooled? The basic kit will give you @330rwhp...the 9psi int kit will get you closer to 400rwhp depending on other mods. Its a very good investment.

 

I must admit i am kinda dumb when it comes to the whole supercharger thing, so any advice would be cool! i would like to get as close to 400 rwhp as i can. i currently have a mac cold air kit, 373 gears, diablosport chip, full exhaust w/flows. anyway, not real sure what i can pull out of this engine but i am gonna try.

 

you can do 400rwhp with the KB 1.7 9psi intercooled kit...thats the kit i'd buy if they made it for my car with my heads.
It is expensive though...i think that kit is almost 5000 dollars but includes everything even a tune.

 

Good luck and good choice of a Supercharger....Procharger is good also...but to each his own.

It's basically just a pulley sway for the 9 psi, right?

 

Better have between 5500 and 6000 dollars ready to spend with the 1.7L intercooled kit if your going to install it yourself.

 

2000gt, you happy with your vortech? how much hp did u get out of it?

 

I can get a kenne bell dropped on mine here locally for 6,000 straight up. Thats what i was quoted. How much is a vortech? What is the diiference between the two??
