N02 (nitrous setup)

cool, thanks for the valuable info!!! I dont want to ruin the stock motor, so I will be cautious. Only a 90 hp gain??? doesnt seem good enough when considering the cost of over $500....

your right, it is a good price when comparing it to a supercharger, or turbo setup, but I just thought that it would get over 400 horses total gross gain. I did read that too powerful of a shot, say 100 or over, and it would damage the internals, including the plastic intake manifold, is this true???

Yes, I want to avoid that at all costs. I think a 50 shot at most would be prudent, if anyone else disagrees, let me know now before I buy it...You guys are the greatest!!! Makes me glad to switch from buying vettes to buying mustangs!!!

You will not get those kinds of gains w/ only a 50 shot. I would go 100 shot at the most to stay safe. You will have to spend more than just the kit as you have to tune it as well. Tuning is how that engine will live and die. Nitrous is the cheapest hp that you will find. Personally, I would go w/ a 100 shot and you should see a nice gain. Since your car is 215hp stock, I would imagine that on a stock engine and tuned you should be at approx. 300-315 hp. You will not see 350 hp safely on a stock engine and nitrous. That is pushing your luck.
I am surprised to see that w/ 125 jets you only saw 90 hp. Have you had it tuned for the shot?

is there a kit from any manufacturer that doesnt mount the bottle in the trunk, i make custom sound systems and the back of my truck has 2 12' and its fitted to my trunk so space is limited,if not ill take out the system
I have a 99 that makes 370 to the wheels with a 100 shot. Obviously, I have other mods, but the shortblock is the stock 115,000 miler and the fuel system is stock all the way down to the injectors. Previous to my cams, I ran a 150 shot and never had any problems. I would recommend you don't go higher than a 125 as the 150 has been known to break the plastic intakes. Your engine will hold up fine, and with tuning, you will have a lot of fun. You can upgrade your fuel pump if you want, but you shouldn't need anything else other than tuning. You won't get 350 flywheel horsepower, but you will get close. BTW, that 370 was put down with a slipping clutch (had to go three times before we even registered a number on the graph), and was 110 horsepower better than the NA graph with the 100 hp jets on a Cold Fusion kit, so it depends on your mods how much rwhp you will add.
