Hey im new here to the forums and stuff but any way i got a totally stock 1995 mustang lx with a 5spd. But im planning on putting a nicely modified 351 windsor (approx 400-500hp) in my mustang! i was wondering if the Ford racing Tremec 5spd would be able to handle it ?? the rear end is gonna be a ford 9" with probably 3.73's.

are u talking about the stock tranny? i dont think its gonna handle 500 hp especially the clutch thats my guess

 

Itll take it...... depending on the mileage it has now, bands might be weak... But Ive seen them handle 500+

Later on you should throw in a Lentech

 

Well i was planning on buying a new tremec five speed.. with a clutch that can handle at least 600lbs of torque.. not a stock.. but if theres a better 5spd tranny out there that will fit thee 351w i would look into it , if any one knows of any that would be great
