Are we in Jepordy?
For those of you with whining gears.... is this going to eventually melt up the rear end? how much life is this gonna take off my cars rear end.. mine only does it faintly at about 40-50 mph and only when im at low rpms in 5th

Mine does the same exact thing as yours does.

I took a 3,200 mile road trip (1,600 each way) in 4 days w/ some of the worst gear whine ever... It didn't get any louder until I launched the car a couple times. Then it was time for the rebuild... That's when they f-ed my car up the first time, and it made the gear whine worse..
As long as it's not bearing noise, and the gears aren't wearing funny, then you should be okay...
