GVW = Gross Vehicle Weight...


I used the one 2 steps higher (I think it was 18,000lbs) since I like to abuse my car... I haven't changed the fluid out yet, but I wanted to, to see how it looks after 4 months of seriously hard driving... 2 of those were w/ out a cooler after my tranny rebuild...

In all reality, installing a shift kit does lower the operating temps and extend the life expectancy of your trans., the catch is, that with a shift kit usually comes more agressive driving, hence the need for a tranny cooler, I personally would reccomend a cooler no matter what, I am going to be installing one before I even put my shift kit in. heat is the worst enemy of the automatic transmission.
