forged internals
I plan on getting a s/c next summer, and am going to get FI so i don't blow anything up, and so i can run high levels of boost. My question is what i know that you need crankshaft, rods, and pistions to do FI, but is there like a kit you can get some where or what, i am just a little confused exactly on what to do for this route? If some one could explain it would be greatly apprecaited!!!
FI = forced induction... that's what you're getting when you get a supercharger or turbocharger. You can run ~10 psi of boost on the factory stuff without breaking anything, with a centrifugal blower that'll be ~380-400 RWHP, which is as far as I would go on the factory shortblock.
The ads in the mustang magazines will show you a bunch of places you can buy the pistons, rods, and crank you need. Any manufacturer will work... I couldn't name the more popular ones right now. When buying new things, just be sure they are forged... that'll cover you to 600HP (so says the rating).
Your options are to buy the rods, pistons, crank, block, bearings, bolts, etc and assemble it yourself... this is the cheapest, but requires the most work... next up is buying a shortblock, which will have all that which I just mentioned already assembled... this'll cost you a bit more... next up is a long block which is a short block + heads. Last up is a complete engine which will have everything that you need to be able to just drop it in your engine bay.
I'd elaborate more but I have a headache currently.

Well I had been thinking of putting on a SC but the speed shop where I go to said that they could do it but the rods and pistons in our little 4.6 are the weak-link to the engine. They said that about half the guys that do it w/o putting in forged parts end up breaking the rods and pistons. Yeah, I know there's some people here at the forum that do it and get away with it but my question is--for how long? It may work for a while but sooner or later the engine will fail w/o putting in the right forged parts. Anyway thats my two cents worth.

in his post FI meant Forged Internals.

Now all I have to do is save up for my supercharger.
