Do you lose HP with a o/r H?
I know with a X you get more Horses then with a H pipe, but do you lose any Hp with a o/r H pipe? I just want a nice deep rumble. How much HP should I expect with a 4.6 SOHC BBK CAI, Flowmaster Cat Back (american thunder)

oh yes you GAIN. You loose a bit from idle to about 2000 rpm, but beyond there it pulls much harder....

It is said that a X pipe will make more horsepower up top, while a H will make more power down low, but I have never seen any evidence of this. Pick the midpipe that sounds the best to you, and the horsepower differences between them will be small enough you will not care.
BTW, I have seen gains around 10 WHP with a o/r X/H on a bolton 4.6 before. The extra scavanging they provide really helps make horsepower above just the larger diameter pipe.
