i like the chime to remind me my headlights are on. You dont always use them in the dead of night. sometimes just at dusk or if its been raining.

it IS annoying however when your in the car doing something with the radio on and the door open.

Default Chime unhooked

Mine was actually broken and would sing with my door shut! By unhooking this will it still allow my radio and everything else to work I just want to make sure before I do it.

I wonder if there is anyway to disable the door chime. I don't really want to disable my headlight chime...that feature has saved me many a dead battery.

Default LIFESAVER!!!

The 'door open' thing was beeping nonstop in our '98 mustang SRS because the door switch is broken - btw anyone know where to get a replacement??
Anyway this fix saved our garage sale Saturday! Here's a pic of the little sucker.

Jerk was hooked up under the steering wheel, on the right side of the drivers side. Had to be unscrewed.

Congrats on being the owner of one of those elusive "SRS" model Stangs. I'm still looking and hoping to find one one day.

Question Opps!

So, in trying to silence the dinger by cutting the black/(purple/pink) wire i noticed there were two wires that could fit the description. I figured i had a 50/50 chance and........cut the "wrong" one. after reading further i found where someone said to cut the one by itself, not the one next to the red wire. Too late. So now i'm wondering what the other wire was for??? anyone know what that controls?
