7 psi shorten engine life?

RE: 7 psi shorten engine life?
I want to know how many of the people giving advice in this thread have actually HAD blowers on thier cars? At 7psi with a proper tune and good maintence (this is key for any engine) there is no reason that this engine will not last well beyond 100k. There is however, a small chance that the blower will need a rebuild before the engine will.

RE: 7 psi shorten engine life?
I plan on swapping in a pi motor... then eventually getting a blower with around 10 psi and just lettin that thing rip...
because in the mean time, I'm gonna be tearing down my old NPI motor and forging it etc etc
But yeah, any increase in performance reduces life. Most of the 200,000 mile + 4.6s/5.4s I see at the dealer I work at are bone stock.

just mashing on the gas pedal at every red light on a stock mustang will shorten your car's engine life.

Its not like the S/C will be making 7psi all the time, its when you get on it. When Im getting on it Im wanting to Haul-***, not worry about prolonging my engine life.
