I have a 96 gt mustang. I have this problem that i can't fihgure out. I drove the car like 500 miles on a trip. So befor the 500 miles the car starting to surge then check engine light came on. Code for the tps and o2sensor bank 1 sensor 1 came on. well changed both of them and cleared the codes and still the same thing and still the surge. My idle is high about 2000. I got another trottle body as well and still the same. Has anyone came accross this problem?
These are the codes that all came up:
1) code 131 o2 sensor circuit low voltage bank 1 sensor 1
2) code 1130 fuel sytem not switching bank 1 sensor 1
3) code 1131 lack of ho2s1 switches lean bank 1 sensor 1

 

REPLACE YOUR OXYGEN SENSOR!!!

 

I see this place still brings in the smart ones... not.

Its not the O2

 

So what is it? I was thinking maybe a short some where in the lines.
What do u think?

 

the 1131 code means you engine is seeing a lean condition on the driver side . the 1130 code mean's fuel trim is at limit . I might think your problem is fuel or air metering related . maybe dirty meter , maybe got oil on it from air filter if K&N style .
