Want New interior in 97 GT
Hey all...
I just test drove a 1997 Mustang GT... Was dark green. 90K miles, 0 rust. looks brand new.. 11K Canadian. Came from Cali - ran real good and pulled strong. even got a little sideways actually alot sideways with the sales guy grabbing for the dash lol...
The green I can deal with, I'd probably end up painting it silver or something.. but the interior... omg its that ugly tan colour!
the roof was black. the seats i'd just throw covers on .. but the carpet, and the stearing wheel and the bottom half of the whoe dash is brown/tan.
I want this car, but cannot live with the colour. where can I find prices on this stuff?
thanks! [8D]

"You can live w/ the color?" Hate the interior? 1997? 9oK miles? 11K Canadian (What, like $9,000 USD?)
Sounds like you should pass on this one. Look for a 99+ or a 96-98 if you like that bodystyle. 90k miles is a lot.
Anywho... Just get some rwacing seats w/ harnesses...take out the stock carpeting, and while you're at it rip up the sound spray matt stuff, and rhino line the entire interior...lol

I paid $30,000+taxes (Canadian $) for a new 2003 premium coupe with all the goodies last year. 0% financing too - woo hoo!
You should easily be able to find another one in a colour you like for a reasonable price, but one thing I have learned here is that you want one with the P.I. heads. I think it's 99+ that they made the change. Went from like 225 HP to 260, I think. I don't know for sure or care because it doesn't apply to me, but someone on here is sure to fill you in on the specifics.
I checked auto trader online and there are tons of them around Toronto in the same price range you were talking about. Where are you located?

you may want to consider the vr4 if youre looking for a fast car. Granted its a bit old, and pricey for that age, but its one fast ****ing car, especially if you put a little work into it. Ive got a buddy with a steath rt turbo (basically a 3kgt) he did a little turbo upgrade boost controller etc. and that car ****ing moves. Itll hit 160mph no problem, awd launches it soooo hard too.
