Default low oil...

how you doing guys..well.. i did my oil change like a week ago with 10w40. well...the stang runs great..96 GT, stock..however from time to time i get this low oil light on the ligh cluster. the thing is the oil dipstick is ****ed up so im still looking for a new one. well.. when i did the change, i added all 5 quarts..so im just guessing how much it needs. the oil pressure is around M and A of normal range and the car is doing good. i just dont wanna add more oil cuase i think 5 full quarts are enough.. or maybe the oil aint being pump right? any help guys..
