Default RE: supercharger install

I have come across a deal from texas hot rods for the Series IV Saleen Supercharger Kit for a little less than the mongoose kit. It is complete w/ everything needed to install. How does this rack up against the mongoose kit from mph for the vortec blower. The mongoose kit from mph sells for a little over $3700. Any suggestions on which package I should go with.
Thanks again

What comes with the Saleen kit?
The mongoose includes upgraded fuel injectors(42lb) lighning 90mm maf/fuel pump and Tims tune which only a few people can tune as well as.
Is the Saleen just a base kit? 36lb inj and saleen reflash?

The saleen kit comes with , a screw type blower, Intercooler, Heat Exchanger, 30 lb/hr Injectors, Intake, Computer Reflash and all hardware. it is the original equipment from 03-04 S281 Mustangs. Will fit 99-04 Mustang 2V 4.6. Im not real eduacated on the different types of blowers so I am not sure which I should go with.

I've heard bad things about the series IV. The series VI is well received, but not the IV. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the details. Do a search and see if you can find the thread.

theres nothing wrong with the series IV. you may have been thinking about the series 2 and its heat build up at high boost, but the series IV is in a whole different league. if i could have easily modified my fuel system to accomodate it, i would have done the series IV in a heartbeat.

It's worth paying a little more for tim's tune. He hasn't lost a motor yet!

The series IV is a good blower but could benefit greatly from a good porting and the lower plenum/intercooler area could use a good sealing since its known to leak but it is a very good street blower. 30lb injectors will already be maxed out on your setup so you would need to upgrade injectors if you added any more power. My FRPP kit came with 30lb'ers and i just sold them and bought 42's...you could do the same. Now the Saleen tune isn't so hot...i have seen a few guys install then dyno and be really lean...this is why the mongoose kit was put together by MPH so that all the upgraded parts needed and a great tune could be had for a good price. I would take a MPH Mongoose kit over a Saleen kit anyday but if your talking KB then i will go that route.

If I had the money then no doubt about it I would go the KB route.
