weird noise
When my clutch pedal is out I get a high pitched squeek almost like a constant bird chirp, but when I engage the clutch the noise goes away. I only have 16k miles on the car with the stock clutch. It like one of my pullies is making the noise but then it wouldn't make sense that when I push the clutch pedal it dissapears. Has this happened to anyone?

RE: weird noise
everyone i would like to introduce our newest member of the throw-out bearing club.. you are member 15587. sorry to hear that man. you have a bad throw out bearing. i have the same problem, i have had no problems with it though. it should be ok. just remember when you get a new clutch later on to get a T/O bearing. 99-04 5spds were known for bad T/O bearings

RE: weird noise
You'd think the throw out bearing was dry, but with only 16K on it I wouldn't think that would be the case but it has been known to happen with these cars. You can try to lift up on the clutch pedal then push it all the way to the floor allowing the self adjusting cam to work but I doubt it. That's a perfect example of Ford cutting corners. Bad T/O bearings.
