Sorry to hear silver, I woulda expected considerably better gains than that. It doesnt sound like the cams gave you much hp at all, but Im sure you have a better curve now. What are the specs on the cam, and are those dyno #'s corrected? Im sure its much more hot and humid now than when you last dyno'd, and also were you sure the engine temps, etc were the same on the before and after runs. I honestly didn't expect you to hit 300 rwhp but I woulda expected it to be around 290 rwhp.
I tried to find the specs on the cams, but to no avail.

There isn't much of a reason for Silver to be dissapointed. He said he's making 268RWHP at 5500 rpms, that's sweet. How does your hp and torque curve look? If it's consistant like that of an LS1, your car will really perform like a raped ape at the track..

welll I'm a little upset.... the cams were installed and I got the dyno tune done, and I went from 247rwhp and 290rwt to 275rwhp and 300rwt. the good news is, before at about 5500rpms I was only making 219hp, and am now making 268hp, soo I pick up a lot there butt, like I said I was hopeing for more. my speed shop said on the dyno the 75mmtb plenum and cold air is only good for 8ish hp to the wheels, which I thought sucked but oh well. Any one know where I should go from here??

I bet you will be seeing at least 305-310 RWHP with them.

My new computer should be coming in shortly, when I get it I'll try to scan some old and new dyno sheets for you guys. They matched my power curve up to a 2004 mach 1 with an exhaust and intake and it was identical, aside from the fact that I made my power sooner and I had about 10 more peak hp. So that was cool, I have no idea how it would match up with an ls1 though, I'll get back to you guys. MD I'll try to find those cam specs for you also

an ls1s power skyrockets up at 2000 and stays mostly high and flat threw out the rpm band. wich means you will have the same amount of power down low as up high and its easyer to stay in your powerband. instaed of making the most power from 4000 to 5500 you would make high power from 2500 or 3000 all the way threw redline. so when you shift to the next gear you wont fall outta your power band, its alwase there.

that's because the heads he has don't make good use of them....try a large primary tube shorty headers with the 2.5 exhaust and 3" tail pipes....extrude honing the intake would do alot to get you there

well unfortunetly, I am going to be leaving the job I am currently at, this is the job that I was makin good money at and able to dump it all into my car....soo unfortunetly I may not beable to go out and buy heads, and spend 1000+ on a complete new exhaust setup, sooo unless I can find some cheap easy ways to get some of this stuff done, I cant see myself getting this stuff done anytime soon, I have 2 saleen pieces I need to get painted that I have had for a few months then I think I'm gonna have to quit for a little. soo unfortunetly unless I find some cheap ways to get some of this stuff done it may not happen for a lil while. (ha even though I change my mind every min)
