ORIGINAL: mosnet23

I've got 96 GT and I'm getting new wheels and tires, 18x9 and 18x10.5 with 255/35 and 285/35. Me and my mechanic was inspecting my currect suspension problems cause I am getting uneven tread wear (maybe just the alignment cause we didn't find anything major). We noticed that I am getting rubbing on my front sway bar on both sides from the tire, I only have 245/45/17 on there right now. Could this be caused by a bad alignment? Right away my mechanic said I am going to need spacers all around, is this true?

I AM NOT TRYING TO CREATE ANOTHER DRIVABILITY PROBLEM [sm=badidea.gif]
no ur not. 18x10 not 10.5
