I've got 96 GT and I'm getting new wheels and tires, 18x9 and 18x10.5 with 255/35 and 285/35. Me and my mechanic was inspecting my currect suspension problems cause I am getting uneven tread wear (maybe just the alignment cause we didn't find anything major). I have slide on spacers, but not 1 inch, I think there about 1/4 inch I havent had any probs, but I never though about any uneven stress, I need to check that out
