i want to know if i can fit a pair of 17x10.5 inch rims wrapped in 315's in the rear and 17x9 inch wrapped in 275's in front. i have a 97 mustang GT if that helps at all.

 

u guys dont need to run such large wheels and tires in the front. and 8 in wide wheel maybe 9 at the most would be fine on 255's plus it will make the back appear larger.

i didnt put the wheels on my car i bought it like that.

For the 10.5 inch rim go with 315's. For the fronts on the 9 inch rim, try and get a 255 or 265. I went with 275's up front and kind of regret. The car likes to turn itself on twisty roads sometimes.

 

what is the widest tire u would suggest putting on a 10" rim without being too radical???

 

You could put a 315 on a 10 inch rim. But it really depends on the brand of tire. For instance, nitto's run small. Which is why I am going to put 315 555r's on my 9 inch cobra rims. The just bulge a little bit. But bfg's and goodyears run really wide, so I wouldn't go any bigger than 295's. You just gotta look around at people's tires, no joke I do it alot.

 

well i'm getting 18x10 saleens and i want a tire that is gonna be flush, or as close to flush with the rear fender as possible. Do u think i can achieve that with 295's?

what brand would u recommend?? i would like something with a lot of bite so i can hook up with my 4.10's, but i dont want a full blown drag radial.
