everything made sense untill the last statement. when you say I cant use other pi intakes with the pi adapters do you mean I can only use the p-51?

no with the pi adaptor you can ONLY use the PI intake designed like the o.e.m.

no aftermarket pi intakes will work with the adaptor

I agree, the P51 is for PI heads only. They will not go w/ your p&p nonPI heads.

Unfortunately, your choices are limited. I believe that you would have to use the stock PI one w/ the adaptor or you may want to check out the Professional Products one. Idk about it but it is worth a look.
