how do the 02-04 mustangs compare to the new 05+ mustangs? i think the 0-60 time is about 3 10ths slower. how much moding would it take to beat an 05? so in the end would it be a good idea to save some money buy getting an 02-04 mustang and having money left to customize it?
someone likes hookah the coal on my hookah is never put out i keep that thing going 24/7 lol
lol i havent used mine in awhile. when i first got it i did it like everyday lol.

maybe like an 03-04 is the way to go. i like the exterior of the 05 and think the intertior is far more better than the older modles, but an 03-04 is probably more affordable, and i can mod it.

or what about a mach 1? i found an 03 for 20k.

All you need to beat a 05/06 is a 13.50 or so quarter mile timeslip.

Not that hard to do. From a stoplight with average drivers I would say a 99-04 would have a great chance with just a set of 4.10s and some drag radials. From a roll you might need a little more, but on the street from a stop drag radials and a steep gearset make a huge difference.

yeah the 05 will look better in a couple years when people have done more aftermarket things to them like people did with the 94-04 mustangs.

I agree with intake/exhaust mods and standard bolt-ons I walk away from them when they are stock, and I 'm still running stock gears. I haven't run into a modded car yet. I was looking closely at the new car this weekend, IT'S HUGE compared to a '99 -04. I believe the new car picked up 300 to 400 lbs. What I do love about the new car is how EASY it looks to do headers. The increased width of the '05 leaves a ton of room to put on headers. If I had one I'd be putting LT's on in a heartbeat.

dude that would be ur best bet, other than a cobra. the mach 1 comes stock with a 4v + a forged crank (5 speeds only). stock hp is like 305 to 315. not to mention theyre lighter than the new mustangs. best of both worlds. ima tell ya like it is. i dont like the new mustangs but the truth is that those new 3v's really respond to mods. i wished they woulda put the 4v in all stock gt's. then everybody woulda been happy.

At this point, with the 05's, it's all the same stuff... rally stripes, window louvers, and a couple other small changes... It's more common to find an 05 with stripes than one without... which happens to be strange because none of them came with stripes stock (exculding GT500).

05+ GT's are 3valve and have more power/torque... but they also weigh more... All it takes is nitrous to beat one - $600 [8D] You could probably get him with gears and some drag radial or better tires.
