I have a friend who has an 04 GT and he is looking into modifying his intake to a shaker intake. Will this do anything for the engine? Will it make a big difference?

What all would be involved in doing a conversion like this? I would assume the hood would need replaced. And possibly the throttle body/plenum.

Classic Design Concepts sells the shaker sytem for the GT. You dont need to replace anything. You have to cut the hood, but the shaker bolts up somehow to the intake. The kit comes with everything you need to do it. Cost around 750-800. I dont think it would do to much for power, more for looks i think. www.classicdesignconcepts.com

Mainly the only thing that is going to help with that is cooler air not worth 800 for a mod for performance maybe if you just want the look but thats about it

I would bet you would get ZERO performance gain by doing the shaker scoop on a gt.

here is a pic of my 03 silver stang gt w/ roush package!! it had shaker hood on it form day of purchase!!! it looks bad ***!! i would recommend u buy it!! check out my thread on the shaker hood a little bit under this thread!! u can see about it a lil more there!!!
