H&R VS EIBACH

RE: H&R VS EIBACH
everything i've read and what people on the forum have said is that the prokit is slightly less than 1.5 in. H&R supersports you need cc plates and the prokit you don't so there is some sort of differance there. um you must be the only person that got that much of a drop out of your prokit. the spring rate for the prokit is front=425-530, rear 200-300. the H&R supersports spring rate is front=700-760, rear 275-300. there's alot of differance especially in the front.

um i got a 1.7 inch drop all the way around with the pro-kit...and my cats scrape on almost all speed bumps in the area if i go straight over (not at an angle) so as far as just LOWERING your car how is the pro-kit a waste of money? esp. considering the H&R kit is roughly the same drop?

I'd rather a cool look and give up some performance IMO..
I have Eibachs and just threw some on my brothers 98 last night.. Here are some before and after of his car..

And here are some before and after of my car too.. Also with Eibachs..

Well, you don't always gain performance when you lower your car...
The key to a good suspension set up is positive suspension travel.. This means, the more travel you get, the more compression you can get out of your springs/shocks.. That's why Coilovers are the best.. You're not decreasing Spring Rate or height, you're merely changed the height of the lower spring perch..
In fact, most of the time, lowering springs increase your chances of Bottoming out the Springs/shocks... That means you lose suspension "give."
