RE: Sept. 11...5 years later
I had just dropped my wife off at school and went to mcdonalds for breakfast when I saw on the news that a plane hit the first tower. I was watching it when the second plane hit. I picked my wife up from school and told her that our country was under attack. I will never forget that day. I lost 2 friends that day. One in NY and the other at the pentagon. I feel for the families of the victims. They lost their loved ones in a senseless way because someone hates freedom and can't stand to see people live a happy free life.
Since that day I have lost 15 friends. They sacarficed their lives for their country in the attempt to make sure that our fellow americans never have to live through another day like September 11, 2001.

^ same here. I was 14, sitting in social studies class. I heard the news and didnt even think anything of it. I thought it was one of those little things that just happen. Turns out, i had no idea what the twin towers were. Untill i saw what actually happened. How 5 years have gone by so fast. But for sure, all of us, will remember how old and where they were when it happened. I just read through 2 pages of this thread, and every reply gave me chills. God bless to all.
