280 rwhp? Maybe you could pull it off with every single bolt on out there sans heads, cams, forced induction, or nitrous, but that would have to be one hell of a tuner shop to get that sort of power and you need LT headers too. Shoot i cant even make 280 and i have every single bolt on sans what i mentoned. Thats ok though no mo money goes into my engine! I am just putting more and more money into the suspension and saving so i can throw my 5.1 Twin Turbo Stroker in there someday.

Sorry, I didn't mean rwhp, I meant flywheel hp. I know my rwhp is probably about 220 stock with an auto. Maybe flywheel hp??

Oh stock your flywheel hp is rated at 260 but they said the engines actually dyno at 270 to 280 flywheel hp stock. Ford always underrates their $#!+ by like 15 to 20 hp. So you're between 270 and 280 stock already. It doesn take hardly anything to get over 300 flywheel hp on a gt.

GT engines arent really underrated. Mach 1 and cobras are under rated. stock GT's dyno around 220-225 RWHP

So, a good estimate would be about a 40hp loss from the flywheel to the rear wheels using an auto transmission??

More than likely, you would have to add t.b.& plenum, a good midepipe, and a great tune to be at 300 fwhp.

How would that get you anywhere near 300 at the flywheel...260 hp stock plus maybe 25 hp (without drivetrain loss) is only 285 at the flywheel. Just a sidenote: 5-speeds loose about 15% through the drivetrain.
