Power?

RE: Power?
Stock gt's are rated at 260 but almost all rate at 270 to 275. I know thats so hard to possibly fathom and many would be able to put their heads around that at will argue and fight that but its true. Gt's are underrated 10 to 15 hp. Also did you guys know that the 99-01 gts make 5 hp more than the 02-04 due to some emissions thing but they never mentioned it in the ratings. I worked for ford for a year or so, im not just pulling this out of my ***.

RE: Power?
260 fhp = 226rwhp which 95% of stock 5-speed gt's dyno at (+ or - 2-3 hp) , 275 fhp = 234 rwhp. Show me a reputable dyno sheet of a stock gt dyno that high and I'll believe you, if not I'll stick with what I've seen.

RE: Power?
My friend had his stock GT dynoed for the hell of it and he dynoed at 224 RWHP. And most everyone says they dyno around 220-225 RWHP. Granted you get a couple here and there that go in the 225-230RWHP but those are factory freak cars and is one in a thousand maybe. But from what i know only cobras, mach 1 are underrated. O yeah so are the LS1's lol

RE: Power?
The only reason for the 5% of gt's that dyno outside the norm is the conditions during the dyno (hot/cold, humid/dry, etc). Even then you cant compare numbers from everyone because of the variation in dynos everywhere. Some havent been calibrated in years, if ever, and some are calibrated frequently. Overall this is a dumb debate...if you want to know how fast your car is take it to the track.
