Default '04 GT O/D blowing fuses

I bought and installed the MGW auto. shift **** with the O/D adapter. Maybe someones done this and will know exactly what im talking about and can right away give me a solution. But anyways, theres two wires on the stock shift **** to the O/D button and these are to be spliced to the new O/D button on the adapter. I've tried splicing them in the only two combos I can and even checked which wires where the hot ones. Each time I start the car I blow the fuse and ofcourse my O/D doesn't work Haha.. what am I missing and where should I look aside from the fuse box (all other fuses are fine). Thanks in advance to anyone who can help with this.

I installed the shift **** without using the o/d adapter. The extra 30 bucks wasn't worth it for me and it works just fine

Yea but isn't O/D like a weak 3rd gear? Isn't it better to race with it off because of that? Ofcourse I would never cruise around with it on for the sake of gas.

Nevermind, I know no one replied and I didn't give it much of a chance. But I realized its got to be a short in either the solenoid or the wire, I prob broke a little bit of the wire or something when I pulled off my stock shift **** it was a bitch to get off. I know where to look and what to do now.

Automatic trans. has the overdrive built in and wired to the shift **** during this year model. You don't have an O/D button for your 5spd man, some manual transmissions have O/D properties but I don't think you do. I think the 6spd is an overdriven 5spd...I could be wrong there too.
