Default Vortec question...

I plan on installing a Vortec V-2 SQ S supercharger on my car this winter. As per my sig I have the Predator tuner...however, I know that the Vortec kit comes with a chip that is to be sent in to them so they can configure it to my specific setup.

My question is...can I use my Predator with the super charger or do I HAVE to use Vortec's chip?

If I can use both, which one would be better for performance?

I appreciate in advance any input.

Thanks

You're going to need a dyno tune. If you find a Diablo dealer with a dyno, they will use your handheld. You will have to use the Vortec chip to get it there, or until you can get a dyno tune.

Thanks....

It would be a shame to have spent $400 on my Preditor for one year worth of use...lol

No problem...

And yeah, money wasted on un-needed parts is not good...

Personally, I value my engine way too much to use any kind of forced induction without a dyno tune. Without a custom tune designed for your specific car, you are playing with fire imo.

I ordered the mongoose kit from Modular Powerhouse and I'm gonna use their tune with the sct and just sell my predator. Definetly use what they gave you until you can get to the dyno to tune it.
