Default Gears?

I purchased my stang used , and the guy I bought it off of seemed pretty into performance , and I've driven mustangs before and this one has just so much jump to it. I was wondering if there is anyway I can tell the gearing w/o ripping the whole back end off and looking.

Default Gears?

yes u can , jack up your rear end , both tires off the ground, mark the pinion the part that your drive shaft connects to by the rearend with some paint or something , now turn your tire exactually one revolution, while doin that watch the pinion mark , if it turns about 3 times , it prob has a 3.08 , if it goes 3 and a half times prob 3.55 , and if its almost 4 rev at the pinion ,prob 3.73 ............ get it?
