Default Which Rotors?

My front brake rotors have been warped since I bought my car back in November. I have lived with it, but they have progressively gotten worse. What brand rotors would you all recommed? I would like to get some drilled/slotted rotors, but I don't want to spend a fortune. Also, what pads?

Baer makes a nice cross drilled and slotted rotor that is zinc plated so they will not rust. You can pick up a pair for under $200. As far as the pads, you can go ceramic for longevity with minimal brake dust, but they're hard on rotors. A good factory replacement should be fine for an every day driver.

My only problem is that the pads I have on now produce a HELL of a lot of brake dust. I believe they are the factory pads, but I'm not positive. I would like to get a pad that won't turn my wheels black after a week of driving.

Brake dust is a good thing. It means you're wearing out the pads and not the rotors.

Go ceramic if you need clean wheels and have money for rotors every brake change.

I bought all four cross drilled and slotted of ebay for $112 shipped. They are still standing after a rough summer with no cracks or pulses!!!! Huge improvement. From 88 rotors. got them in 3 days. Get the ceramic pads or ferro-carbon like Hawk no semi-metalic garbage.

Anybody have those "greenstuff" pads from mustang tuning? They look sweet, but they probably suck.

From what I have read the Green Stuff pads are better that the Hawk pads.
I had the Hawk pads on my 93 5.0, but will give the green Stuff pads a try when I get the brakes done.

Well I took advantage of Mustang Tuning's 10% off deal and went ahead and bought FRPP Drilled and Slotted Rotors with Hawk pads.

Anybody know how difficult the duplicolor caliper painting kit is to do?

It's 10% if you're a previous customer, they gave out codes to people who bought things from them before in celebration of their name change... The code expires pretty soon anyway.
