i saw a thread earlier on where this girl had a black stang with chromed out stock GT rims... hmmz i think they were powdercoated. not sure.

Yes buy why would you want to? All the money spend chromming has to come off. basically has to go back to baremetal.

Do you mean....make silver rims look chrome by powdercoating them? Or powdercoating a rim that is already chrome and making it look silver?

Yeah, if I would have to pay to get the chrome stripped of first then it would probably cost as much as new wheels. I was just wandering if you could go over chrome, but I doubted that. I do know a guy who knows somebody that powder coats. I will probably talk to him about it.

u could go over the chrome, but the powder coat would ship off pretty easy, so i wouldnt do it

Yeah i gotta say, Getting Power Coated Wheels sucks. If you even touch the powder coat with metal they chip like hell. If i could do it again i woundnt get powder coated wheels.
