Default noob predator dilemna

Well I thought I would go for a good deal on ebay and buy a predator tuner for my 04 gt. This guy was selling one "new" that he bought but never got to use because he sold the car shortly after. Anyway, I get the tuner in today and I'm going through the beginning mumbo jumbo. Well the backup of the original tune never happens, and I come to the point where the vehicle isn't licensed to be used with the tuner. I check out the last tune he used and it wasn't the original tune that I'm assuming should be there. So basically I'm stuck with a tuner I paid a chunk of money for and can't use. I have, however, come across an option where I can force a factory tune onto the car. Will that mess anything up, or work at all? I'm pretty much stuck for right now, I was hoping his few negative feedback wouldn't reflect on this auction, but apparently thats not the case.

Anywho, lemme know some thoughts. Probably should have went to the local place and paid the extra money without any headache.

Dude that means that the last dude didnt take his car off of the tuner. He screwed you over. His factory stuff is still on the tuner. You cant force the tune on unless you have a dealer password. Looks like you're gonna have to send it back to have him fix it. Make him pay for all the shipping though since its his fault.

Pretty much what I was expecting to hear. Guess I'll call Diablo monday and see about getting this fixed. There is a dealer for them in town, is it possible for them to be able to do any kind of resetting you think?

As far as getting any kind of shipping covered by him, I highly doubt it. Like I said he already has negative feedback and apparently just doesn't care.. oh well, I got a little more for him.

This is one good reason why I buy my stuff new or from someone I know. You pretty much can`t trust anyone these days. Sorry to hear about your issue man... I`d be sooo pissed as your are. [:@]

...and depending on how his ad was composed it is a little more than just a negative feedback. Haven't used paypal, but since you did not get what was advertised you may be able to cancel the payment.

Well... the good news is he actually responded (somewhat quickly) to my emails. Already offered to send me a money order or whatever I wanted back and to take the situation up with Diablo himself. I'm gonna see what I can get done to the programmer locally.

Thanks for looking fellas.
