Congrats on the anniversary edition GT.

The best intake would have to be Densecharger. Densecharger is made of hard plastic (unlike most steel intakes which gets HOT). The plastic used in the Densecharger keeps it cool in the engine bay, even after long road trips. Take it from me, I started out with a MAC Cold air intake. It changed the sound of the engine, but I noticed insignificant performance gains. When I touch the MAC CAI after a long road trip (which is steel by the way) it is very hot to the touch.

If you wanna get technical, hotter air is less dense. Less dense air going through the Mass Air Flow means the comp. will tell your car to Inject Less Fuel. You'll run all this hot air and not see any gains. Cooler air (more dense) means your comp. will tell your car to inject more fuel, then you get MORE performance gains.

I'm pitching my MAC CAI away (on ebay). I'm getting a densecharger (with mass air flow $340), an Accufab TB and a C&L plenum. This should give me 10-20 hp to the rear wheels depending on the day (hot or cold).

I think everyone else will agree on densecharger....

No. Filter in the fender is a pain in the rear to check and remove. Filter in the engine bay is really easy to see. That's why I got the K&N FIPK.

You'll see tons of arguments about the "cold air" in the fender vs. the "hot air" in the engine bay. I say pfft! I took measurements to compare the fender area and engine bay temperatures and... http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...4&postcount=36

If you're on a budget, just get the K&N filter and keep your stock snorkle.

I'm only 16, but from my experience, every intake system will generate relatively the same power with a mostly stock motor. If you want quality and aren't worried too much about price, then Densecharger and K&N are the way to go. If you want killer underhood looks (like me), then go with BBK or MAC. Finally, if you're worried mostly about price, UPR Products sells their kit for about $130, and Mustang Tuning has one for under $100 (with questionable quality).

The AEM has 2 chambers. I dont know anymore abou it then that. Iam guessing that means its metal , which is bad cause the metal gets hot.

alright, the intake im looking at right now to buy has a 4 inch pipe, will that make my car sound way too loud or will it sound nice, the pipe is made of metal, i dont want it to be extremely loud, just a nice roar to it.
