stock HP???

RE: stock HP???
I know, and agree about the exhaust issue.... Lets just say that was going to be one of my first mods but I got all plenum/tb/manifold for a great price and didnt want to pass it up. I'm probably going to do the exhaust swap this winter while the stangs in my garage 90% of the time...along with some other mods.
As far as getting a dyno and tune done, I'm all about it, just havent had time. And it was an 03 Mach1... I'm not saying I have 300+HP by any means...but I did keep up, and eventually pull away from him....it was also at a straight away from a standstill red light....one thing thats for sure is we both made a lot of noise ....Maybe a Mach is a heavier car?! I dont know...bad tune? losing HP somewhere? I dont know, its pretty good condition from what I see....

225 + 15 = 230?
Anyway, he has the new typhoon intake on it which is 'advertised' at about 20 hp (doesn't say fw or rw). Soooo, if you believe that, and I don't, he could be pushing 260 to the tires. However, with the stock exhaust in place, he's wasted a buttload of cash on intake parts that are being used at 60% potential. My guess is 245ish.
GT03 TJS, you should upgrade the exhaust and get a tuner (and dyno tune) to see the full potential of what you have. You can only push in what you can push out (air, I mean). Even shortie headers are better than stock.

Depending on your tranny.....you just added 12 to 15 hp max with those mods giving you the grand total of 230~rwhp

RE: stock HP???
I would see you at approx. 285 hp at the flywheel. That should not be enough to run away from a Mach. You may have the good driver mod though. Chalk one up to luck and add exhaust and a tune, that should get you up there and running w/ him consistently.
