Default RPM Question

I was test driving a 00 GT today, one i may possibly buy. While I was driving I noticed that when iI took the car out of gear when breaking and coming to a stop the RPMs would drop to 500 and the engine acted as if it wanted to shut off but once i got a complete stop they would raise to 750 which is normal for idle. This only seemed to happen after I was breaking from a high speed, say 50+. Any ideas on what this is or am I just worrying too much?

Maybe your master brake cylinder is going out.

ya.. thats normal.

Your brakes use a booster to help you stop faster. The booster is connected to the power steering pump which is an accessory. When you slam the brakes your slowing the engine down because the booster is drawing a lot of its power. dont slam on the brakes and try it again.
