I have a 98 gt 5 speed that shuts of at 125mph. I am not sure if it is a govern or what. I didn't think a gt had a govern on it. I don't think it is a rev limiter. I can tac to about 6k and no problems. I changed my gears to 373's and my speedometer is about 20mph off. So when I hit 125 it cuts the engine out . But at that speed my tac is only around 4k. ANd I know it will let me tac to 6k at lower speeds. DOes anyone know a way to turn off this govern or what ever it is. I dont have the money to get a diablo turner. I have heard you could do it that way. CAN anyone please help!!

RE: speed limiter?
Hmm my 02 stock went 130 with no problems and more to go. I put a Diablo Predator tuner on it and it read my will go 170 now but make sure my tires are speed rated for that high. The stock rev limiter on a 99-04 GT i think is 6035 which is what the Tuner read before you increase it to up to 7000. I think you may have another problem that needs to be looked at. Have a dealer hook there computer up to it and see if there is any major problems.
