Default Well finally broke down and bought a 3rd maf.

Pissing me off... 3 times on the 1 pegged maf the other just was a piece of ****. The lightning meter pegged, so I bought a used Pro-M univer; it kinda almost worked but really didnt. So finally i broke down and spent 300$ from my tuner for a PMAS pro tube (supposively good up to 1000hp). Runs like a charm with just the computer tune... another dyno tune monday.

So when all i said and done i spent $950 on tuning/maf/programmer. Really thats letting me off easy for 4 dyno sessions he really cut me a break. Still my funds are kinda looking grim... good thing everything is paid off.

The only legit numbers i have are 360/360; however i'll be up over 375 easily. We were hindered by the maf's on the tuning. I could go up over 400 but i wanna keep it really safe.

You pegged the L MAF at 360? I used it and im at 375 right now, I though they were good toll around 400. What about somthing like a MAFia it extends MAF out don't they, this is more of ??? for my general knowlege, I'm sure your happy to get that things running right though, congrats

I could have used a mafia, oh well. It depends on the setup, in a blow through setup they are very unstable.

That seems weird to me. I know a guy with a vortech s/c roush stage 2 running 400 rwhp and a lightning MAF and has no problems whatso ever and hes had that car for years. . .

Vortechs run draw through setups. The lightning meter is fine for that since a lightning uses a draw through setup.

Yeah, I'm really surprised you pegged the Lightning MAF with those numbers. That 90mm maf is good for upwards of 500hp. But, keep in mind that when a mass air sensor is run in a blow-through configuration (after the blower) the range is often reduced 30% because of the smaller inter-cooler pipe size compared to the mass air sensor housing.
